is there any benifit from adding friends on this site?

it really depends on how you use the features this site has.
i'm still very basic over the years. when all else fails, I pick up the phone and call the person

No benefits really. To me, its just an easier way to get to the members page or to pm them as they show in your friends list. Other then that, I don't see much need for adding them.

it's just for fun is all.one other thing it does do (which is really not that helpful and probably not used) is when you click on your name at the top of the page (or the "my profile" tab) it will then show you the latest posts,like that "what's new" tab does but only from those in your friends list.
if you decline to add a friend,the person still added you to their friends list.no one will take it personal if you don't add them to your list lol.but it doesn't hurt and wont alter your experience here if you accept either.it's just for fun is all.
