Turned my pump all the way up today, or least I think it is. Pyro is sitting at a very nice 900* under a good load. The thing that gets me is the truck does not smoke a bit. I think I may finally have to bite the bullet and buy a new pump and injectors, maybe a new turbo this one seems to be running out of steam at 15psi with an IC so I might have to go a step up.

15 PSI with intercooler? Yeah, you need a bigger turbo. Even with a intercooler, its way out of its efficiency range

Thats what I figured, I know russ has an affordable upgrade but he is in the hospital right now or I would ask him. I was trying to see if my phone would take video but it doesn't, I love the truck now when about a month ago I hated it for taking my money all the time. I figure if I get a pump and turbo it may be time to sort through the transmission its the original E4OD with almost 250k on it.

Wow, watch out for that E4DOA if you've got that much power running through the stock unit. That could be disaster waiting to happen. Just be easy on it and I don't see you having any problems with that old tranny.
Russ does have an upgrade compressor and housing, but from my conversations I've had with David85 the only guy I know of that is running those upgrade parts, he did get more boost out of it and a little more power, but last I heard from him he said if he had the choice again he'd just leave it alone. The gains were so minute that he wouldn't do it again if he had the opportunity.
Maybe he'll chime in for you and give you his opinion straight. I don't want to be putting words into his mouth.

What intercooler are you running on that truck?

15 PSI with no smoke is not a turbo problem. Your out of fuel! You need a Moose Pump.

Thats what I was thinking
How is the turbo not doing it job here, He is getting plenty of boost, but not enough fuel. A decrease in fuel would mean less heat and he would be able to get that much boost with an intercooler that way right??

Greed, you need more fuel, and you will likely get more boost. Will your head gaskets withstand is the question?

Dunno, studs have been holding it all shut, and isnt my motor lower compression than N/A 7.3 and the 6.9, I'd Love to see 20psi out of this thing with the fuel to support it.

All of the IDI series motors (Except for the Model A 6.9's) have the same compression ratio. The Model A 6.9's are the lower compression motors.
