Is 80-86 hood same width as 87-91 hood?

I am looking at a plastic bug shield, but it is off of a 88 F-150. My question is, would it be close enough to my 83 to look right? Thanks.

If it's one of those bug shields that contours to the hood, it won't look "right". The hood's shape changed considerably between the two body styles (and between the '87-'91 and '92-'97 bodystyles). If it's a flat piece, I think it'll work, or at least be close enough to be difficult to notice.
