Hi, new user here.
1994 7.3 idi turbo.

Recently began having issues with hard start when warm/hot. Can’t see any fuel leaks, doubting it’s air intrusion but any ideas where to look where fuel leak might be hard to spot?
Truck starts perfect when cold. Runs runs fine.

If it’s the IP on it’s way out, does anyone have a good contact to get a replacement pump and correct injectors?

Any help appreciated.

Y’all have a great day.

I had the same thing going on with one of my dad's trucks, turned out the glow plug main wires (the two really really beefy wires) were corroded and partially melted on one of the connectors going from the starter relay to the module. Bypassed the connector and butt connected them together fixed it. Might be worth a look.

Hot start troubles usually point to a failing IP.

Next time it does it, try pouring cool water over the IP and see if it starts. If it does, time for a rebuilt IP.

If the IP is the issue it is recommended to do the injectors too. Buy the injectors from one of the folks listed above not online.

You will also need to time your truck after swapping IP’s. This tech article will help.

Ok thanks I’ll definitely do that if it’s the IP.

Any chance the website could verify the stickies were read before the ability to post was garnered?

Also note that some folks here have the timing equipment and are willing to help if you can't get your own timing equipment. Those folks have posted in the list. Myself included.

It did fire up fairly easily after pouring about 1/2 gallon of cool water on pump.

Looking at R and D for pump and injectors, but pumps seem to be a hot item.
