I'm looking to build a pop tester but I'm not entirely sure where I could get an injector line, or an adapter to attach it to some pipe fittings.

Does anyone have something I could use or know what else I could use? I looked on ebay, no lines for sale on there at the moment...

I have 5 or 6 complete sets of lines... I bought 8 lines from an ebay seller thinking I got all 8 differant cylinders but nope... All 8 were for the same cylinder and they are new... Did this twice... Sure can't remember why I did this twice....:dunnocookoo:angel::D

Well then where can I can get an adapter to adapt the lines to a pipe thread fitting? I can't remember what the kind of fitting on those lines is called...I'm sure mcmaster carr carries it, just not sure what to search for.

Also what would you guys want for one line? Just a short one that's semi-close to straight would be fine...haven't looked at my own lines to see what might be closest to that description.

Do these use some kind of a double flare on the tube end or are they just compression fittings? I never looked all that close...

The ends of the lines have a machined end and welded to the line.

I used the fitting from #1 cylinder, used for timing when the engine was made, drilled it out and welded a 1/8" NPT nipple in it.

I understand that but WHERE can I get one of those fittings?

IDI's aren't really plentiful around here...

dyoung I only need one line, not a set.

Well...unless I can find an adapter the line isn't of much use to me...but would you take $5 for one? I dunno if one of them might fit into a padded envelope that you could ship it USPS.

You can just cut off one end of a line and braze or weld it to a 1/4" pipe nipple, it should fit right inside of the nipple, if not drill it out a little.
