Well i got my new truck home this evening, i had told all yall it was getting pulled by a duramax i was wrong i got pulled by a 6.5 turbo diesel, first time i ever got to ride in one it was automatic, and all stock, and it pulled better than any 6.9 or 7.3 idi i have rode in, i havent ever rode in a turbo 6.9 or 7.3 i guess they would spank a 6.5 but a stock 6.5 will spank a stock 6.9 or 7.3 we pulled the mountain at 40 mph and only had the truck at half throttle never got above 2800 rpm comming up it either, but there just too darn quite for me, ok back on track now

Well i got it here found out the glow plugs wasnt working any way, so in goes a manual switch, the guy said it was having a problem running away sometimes well i pulled the breather and saw it was full of oil, so i changed the cdr, and fired her up and drove it down the drive way and back, and brought the rpm up to 2000-2500 somewere in there i wasnt paying attention to much, but it didnt run away with me so maybe it was just a bad cdr like i thought, i sure hope so...

i was just seeing what yall would say lol there is no way i would be a traitor, altho i do like the 94 body styles, but you just cant beat the ih idi's and thanks man im pretty excited about the truck to especially for $600

I know my N/A 6.9 would beat my neighbors turboed 6.5.

Yeah, took a 3/8" wratchet to get the cartridge unseized and it's been running better than it has in quite some time.


I love simple fixes.
