:sly::Thumbs Up-Drool I finally got my little $500 12V Cummins home today – mucho thanks to Goofy for hauling it for me….My buddy’s car hoist wouldn’t go high enough to clear the deck on my dually so it was Goofy to the rescue….LOL…..The engine is a 1995 from a Ford school bus, 190HP….P-pump with a re-man turbo, Bendix Tru-Flo air compressor (I had a little tremor when I saw that :rotflmao) and etc. Rebuilt in June 2004, bored .020 oversize and stock on the crank....Goofy and I made a big friggin mess in the garage tonight going like mad ****** but we managed to get the little 12V in it's resting place - for now.:D....I'm going to try and sell the 13" clutch, flywheel and bellhousing and possibly the power steering pump....I'm not sure what I'll do with the air compressor yet, I might leave it there if I have room in what ever truck I put it in.

My plan is to put a 7.3IDI in the dually to make it more fuel efficient for a daily driver and once that is done I'll probably sell the 91 IDI and look for a 99 and up 2wd Super duty to put the Cummins in....I love that body style and I figure I can find a high mileage unit fairly cheap....New paint, new wheels, stacks, harley headlights and etc for a nice spring, summer and fall daily driver. I can drive the dually in the winter and plow with it.;Sweet....I want an auto trans so I need to decide what to build for it - I have several E4OD's here that I could beef up or I could looke for a 4100R - I need something with a stand alone computer...I hear Mr Tosh clearing his voice now.:D She needs someTLC in a few area's but what can buy in a $500 Cummins anywhere....LOL

Not really a cummins fan, but sounds like it was a good deal. Why did they flog it for so little if it was was a low miles engine?

Either way, congrats;Sweet

He only paid $500 for it so that's all he wanted out of it....You should see the 1990 F250 4x4 that he sold with a 3yr old EZ-dump insert for $1500....Undercoated to death and he had it since new....My buddy who lined me up with the Cummins bought that....We may have a line on some more of them as he has a connection at the school board....I'll buy all the $500 Cummins I can get my hands on...LOL

From what Danny said he was just frustrated with the mess in his garage and driveway...LOL....Once he came to a conclusion that all his projects would never be finished he sold some and took 6 truck loads to the dump.....The Cummins was supposed to go in the 1990 with the EZ dump.:dunno....The EZ dump is like brand new.;Sweet

lol... been in that position as well.... when I sold my boat I came to the conclusion that I had too many toys and choose to move one out. I hadn't played with the boat all summer - took the boat on vacation - hauled it 12 hours one way for a 2 week vacation and only used it 3 days at about an hour or so a day it sat in a rented slip the entire time gassed up and ready to go... hauled it home and said - something has to go..... So the boat moved on....

I'm one with too many projects too but I've toned it down a bit....Just have my 63 Mercury, my 1992 dually 4x4 project and the Cummins is for future use once the truck and Merc are done this spring/summer....The truck needs an IDI installed and I have a dump hoist for it too. My Mercury has been laid up for almost 2yrs so I want it back on the road this spring....All be it with a 450-500HP supercharged aluminum headed 5.0/5spd under the hood.:sly

Upon further inspection I think I'm S.O.L regarding the air compressor staying on the Cummins....It appears that the rear support bolts to the block in the same location that the motor mount would in a pick-up....Time to make a list of what is missing so I can start the hunt on ebay and Kijiji.
