Ya that thing is sweet I noticed that too idk why someone would do that.
prolly the steering gear is the issue on the frame clearance. it's pretty crowded real estate in that part of the frame.

That engine really does not have a "header" on the drivers side... Yes... Its a special fabricated manifold but not a headder by any means. Aheader would dump out into a collecter and this one clearly does not do that. Still its a nice fab job and shows what can be done if you have the talent and time plus the material. Hopefully this header manifold is stainless tell material.
