What size is the up pipes and down pipe on a hypermax turbo and what is the size of the down pipe were it connects to the turbo?

^^^ that sounds right to me. I never measured mine but from what I remember that is correct. as far as where it mounts onto the turbo it necks down from 3+ to the 2.5". Also hypermax sells an intercooler kit for this and larger exhaust.

I thought that guys on here were running downpipes that were 3" all the way? Maybe I have it wrong. If I remember mine (Banks) necked down to like 2.75" or so......I would like a 3" all the way, if there is such a beast.

my ats has 3" from turbo to tail pipe all the way through complete kit from ats

. As I said hypermax makes a 3" pipe that fits on the turbo, the problem is the clearance for it from there. I know a few have done body lifts and fit them in but I havent seen one in person yet.
Mine seems to do fine with the stock downpipe. I have 10psi at 2800 rpm when pulling an incline and the boost will hold. I do have 5" exhaust from the downpipe back to a 90* bend through the bed into a "y" and dual 5" stacks. the restrictive part is definetly the stock hypermax down pipe, maybe an upgrade in the future....

No, the upgrade for the ATS kis, and the aftermarket ATS kits are 3" downpipe all the way.
I didnt think banks and hypermax had that small of downpipe.

I know my non gated Banks kit was a full 3" system, turbo to tailpipe... The Muffler and tailpipe are still on the truck that my turbo kit had came off of... 
The Hypermax "pulse" turbo is tuned to use those small pipes. Remember that increasing the diameter of the pipe will reduce the exhaust gas velocity. Small is not necesarily bad when designing a turbo with several feet of feed pipe.
