hydro boost

a little off topic, but I thought I read somewhere that the 92-97 trucks used the same pedal geometry whether they were hydroboost or not? I know when I swapped mine in I did not change the pedals, and I have been running it for almost a year now with no issues.

That information is MIS Information...the actual Hydroboost OBS trucks do indeed use a different pedal than vacuum brake models.

The pin is the same as other Hydroboost brakes 3/4" further up the pedal towards the pivot.

Well, I have my hydro boost installed as of today. I went to my ford dealer locally trying to get the seal kid or the power steering pump reservoir. They told me that the pump was not serviceable and no seals were available. I then called the parts house down the street and had a seal kit by lunch. The big Ford dealer in Little Rock could get one in a few days, btw. Got it all hooked up this afternoon. The brakes are better than I have ever had and I haven't even bleed the brake lines yet. I used the 450 master cylinder too.

Now, I can't wait until my steering pump completely bleed the air put and gets a little quieter. This ties with the turbo as the best upgrade I have done to this truck. Period.

Hmm, well, I've never had any issue with mine, everything lined up perfectly and I've been driving it since Jan with no issues whatsoever. Everything lined up like it was made to go together.

i did that and i knew it was wrong from day one.finally it was figured out here that the 9th gen pedals are different too.i scored a used hydro pedal from a 9th gen here in the marketplace and driver comfort shot way up! a lot easier to press on the pedal with the correct one.
