Just like the title says.
Anyone out there have a IDI in pieces that can tell me how many teeth are on the gear that bolts to the injection pump?
I'm trying to retrofit a IDI tach and sensor onto a different engine.

Its the same amount as the cam gear and the crank gear has half of that... Funny how things just work together isn't it. The reason the count is like this is simple. If one of these gears had an odd number of teeth the timing would never be correct. Two turns of the crank equals one turn of the cam and injection pump gear....
