I've made this repair before Dyoung. It works, it'll get your gf's truck running reliably, and should last at least several months. I don't know how the Dipcao and such return kits hold up to the pump fuel, but my orings and hoses leak or are hard as a brick within a few months with B100. I got some of Russ's viton o-rings and am going to copy BioFarmer by using the yellow tygan hose. We'll see how long the hose lasts, I'm confident the Orings will make it. Do you have any idea what material the Napa rings were?

I can just about guarantee they were buna n. They are ok if the right hardness but eventually diesel will shrink them and biofuels will soften them.

I bought 3' of the insulated fuel line at the local Stanadyne shop for around $8.00

I used it on My Torpedo Heater.

Not to be rude, but this kind of statement always blows me away when people are tight on cash. My brother even does it. He'll say he's completely broke and then go blow $50-$100 on beer/booze. I just don't get it...

I hear what you are saying, but I got all my priorities taken care of FIRST. Fridge is full of food, rent, lights and heat are all teken care of, both vehicles are insured, registered and licensed for the road, the wheel bearing is getting put on today (THAT should be a chore after last night...).

Besides, we have a stash of $650 that is tucked away in an account. We forget we have this, and only add to it once or twice a month. It's there for when all hell breaks loose.

When I said $40 would break me, that mean that I would be spending my weekly coffee allowance on a bottle of rum (I said case of beer, but rum was on sale).
