Don't know a thing about these.

What do I need to know about purchasing a hitch pin for the 2" receiver?
I won't be towing anything very challenging.

Locking?
Material?
Finish?
Design?
Brand?

Thanks.

I have a box in both my trucks full of them. I buy one or two each time I'm at the trailer store. They get used for all sorts of stuff. For my trucks though I called Reese and got six locking pins all keyed alike so one key opens all my pins that stay in the receiver.

I have a pair of Stainless ones, they were like $50, but they also have matching trailer locks. So, I have basically four locks that one key fits to lock the receiver insert and the tongue on my trailer too! I think I got them on Ebay, I've had them for years though.

I'd consider a locking one (I have both), cause my hitch combo is about $100, maybe more to replace!

etrailer.com has great deals i would definatly spend the extra 10-20 and get a locking pin though.
