Saw you were gonna swap a 12valve into your truck. Just wondering if you know what kind of real world torque numbers you can get out of a 12valve that will be used everyday.

Thanks in advance,
Will

check with Darrin T or Ez 69, both of those guys have completed their swaps and are driving around their trucks. as for a real world numbers, I couldn't tell you. I don't have much faith in the reality of what a truck that's tuned to run big numbers on a dyno versus what the truck can do when it's worked hard. simple logic does consistently prove that a inline motor of any make will put down higher numbers lower down on the rpm band versus a "V" motor. but the opposite happens at the top end, the inline motor will have run out sooner compared to a "V" due to larger reciprocating mass. As always, exceptions to the rule always occur, but it needs large amounts of money thrown at it to make it happen.
