Headlamp Plug

I tried to hook up my gauge lights today and also was going to do the running light mod at the same time and the headlamp plug has overheated so much it is falling apart. Got to find the plug now.

Can you get the plug and just transfer the wires over one for one?

Who is a good source for the plug?

Mis understood in the other post. Dealer item or I think Napa may carry them. Yes, you can move the wires but I think you will find the brown one is crispy!

If you're doing the headlight mod you will need two new plugs as you don't re-use the old ones. At least I didn't. If I remember correctly I got most everything I needed to do the mod at Advance Auto including two new plugs.
Now I just re-read your post and you might be talking about the plug that actually connects to the switch in the dash?...If so you can get the new switch at Advance but the pigtail you'll need to get from LMC. That is where I got my new pigtail for my voltage regulator after searching everywhere locally.

The brown one has been VERY hot, but still looks useable. I'll check it good and replace if necessay.

I guess pulling the trailers over the years have really took a toll. I have replaced the headlamp sw twice already.

Like I said when I was looking for the pigtail for my voltage regulator I couldn't find it anywhere locally.

Don I still have the old head lamp plugs I had on My truck they are in excellent condition.

Sorry, I didn't realize You want the plug no just the plastic part that holds the light to the head lights.

Thanks EZ. I need the plug to the headlamp switch. LMC has them for $4.95 + shipping. I think I can swing that!

Well mine is for free if anyone wants it. Comes with the head lights too, they are not too bright anymore but they are in one piece with all the hardware.
