H.D. ford 5 speed

Does anyone here know anything about ford transmission code W ? The only thing i could find said it was a hd 5 speed. My boss said it is called a K2. I have the chance to get one really cheap from him. :Sly Would it even work with a 6.9? It is currently in a 460 gasser.

I don't know anything about the tranny, but the 460 and 6.9 bellhousings aren't the same thing.
