they do.
they're set anywhere from 3200 to 3800 rpm. if you have a tach, it's easy to find yours. just run to truck up to high gear and see where you stop reving.

well mine must be the 3800 or 4100 level she sits at 3500-3700 all morning(70-85 mph) ... (4:10 ) auto with turbo... funny thing this thing is quiet at that rpms unlike the other 6.9 that sounds like it's coming apart at 2000 rpm I ve got some pics of it let me see if I can find them....

Ouch. I know what the new Superduties sound like flying by with their new 6.4's turning those ultra low rear axle ratios with the big rims at 75MPH. It's a wonder they don't fly apart. That's a lot of fuel being wasted for sure, and a lot of extra wear going on.

well it still gets 11-13 mpg like this running on diesel or wmo...... i've been thinking of putting a 3.55 in it... or swap out my underdrive(locked in high side) for a overdrive...
been thinking of getting ahold of you about a moose pump for the new motor.... but that will have to wait want to replace the turbo and underdrive....

You can use a governor spring from a GM 6.2L that has a higher rev limit...

My international got a lot more driveable when I swapped on a Ford IP. It has a real wide gap between 3rd and 4th gears and it helps to wind it out before the shirt.
