Good mechanic

First I would like to thank all for all the great info. I haven't worked on diesels for 30 years and this forum (well recommended ) has helped me start to get back up to speed.
This truck is stock (so far ) and is in great shape, but I like to plan ahead. Does anyone know of a good diesel mechanic (pump timing. etc.) that I can use in the Modesto, Ca area? I do almost all of my own work (because of finances and I have had bad mechanics in the past) and I have a very good friend who is an excellent mechanic for the rest of the truck, but knows little about diesels.
Any input would be appreciated.
