Resistance ranges are from .2 to 2 with the lower being better. I think you are better off ohming at the GP itself so you take the resistance of the harness out of the equation. VC's are very easy to pull.

here's a pic......
reqasonable limits are .1 to 6 ohms using a DVM...if reading above 6 ohms or "OL" -open line- best to reove V/C and test both UVC harness and GP's.

Auto Zone has the Mototcraft/Beru{the ONLY ones to use ;Sweet } # ZD10 for about $10 each.

Hope this helps....

ZD11.......... cookoo LOL

IDI's use ZD9 and OBS PSD's use ZD10
Glow Plug
(AutoZone) ZD-10 or ZD-11 (Beru plugs)
(Ford) F4TZ-12A342-A
(International) 1820697C2

The ZD-11 plugs by Beru are the preferred plugs in my experiences. Also 6 ohms is way to much resistance, maybe you meant .6? The higher your resistance the more amperage it consumes on its trip through th GP.

Ohms law is Volts = Resistance x Current.

12v = .1 ohm times unknown current. 12 divided by .1 = 120 amps.
12v = .5 ohms times unknown current. 12 divided by .5 = 24 amps.
12v = 1 ohm times unknown current. 12 divided by 1 = 12 amps.

New out of the box glowplugs should read between .1 and .6 ohms.
