Glow plug test light.

At the auto parts store today and saw these. Would any of these work for testing glow plugs?

Yes, get the one all the way to the right that has the old timey bulb in it and no battery. I think the one to the right in the double picture is the same without a battery? The one all the way to the left with the battery, don't get that one.

This is a very handy tool for checking most circuits in the vehicle, and works better than a digital meter in most situations. They are not very good for the computer circuits though.

I would do the one in green on the right. Looks a little nicer I have one like it from Harbor Freight.

The green on the left is for testing continuity. So you can test a wire to see if it works or if it has a break in it. You touch one end of a wire with the probe, the other end of a wire with the clip. If the light goes on, the wire works. The battery is needed as a piece of wire that does not have power would not light a lightbulb.
