Ok here is the gig... I love my Cummins but I need more room in the inside for the kiddies and pooch... I'm thinking of either chopping up my current ride for the engine to stuff into a Burb or find one already done up and running... But my question is will the gasser auto tranny that chevy puts out hold up and if not what should I consider...

In my opinion, NO!
LOL
Its a nice idea but every automatic shared between gas and diesel has beefier guts on the diesel. If you keep your foot out of it it should be fine for a while:eek: LOL

I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Travis yet, but his driving habits proceed him!!! ;Sweet

modding a 12 valve & wondering if a gasser tranny will hold:confused: . See this thread.

With a torque convertor swap and a transgo kit it may last for a while. The problem is that the shafts can't hold much lowend torque... Maybe suncoast or someone could set you up with one to hold, but I bet it would be some $$$.

True! I have had the pleasure of meeting the above mentioned and I dont think there is a snowballs chance that the foot would be left out of the go pedal for very longLOL
