Fuel Mileage?

I was thinking of getting a truck with a 1st gen cummins, or mabey a 2nd gen if I can find a cheeper one, and I was wondering what kind of fule mileage ya'll get. Also what are some of the tipical problems with these trucks?

Sorry could not help it We have such a good one on the basement. Now this trucks are pretty tough, I read some place they get about 20 mpg empty too?

I get 23.5 to 25 empty. 1990 D250.
My wife's Ford gets 12 going downhill with the wind to her back.
When you have a Cummins you really don't need tech support.

I get about 18 or so with my '94.

I get about 17 in my second gen with the P-Pump and a stick
