I thought this might help the cause!
this is probably not news to most of ya' however it is of interest.
with the stock 093 and over the batt intake piping with a new paper filter the filter-minder on my 93.250 would go right to the red line the first time I spooled it up.
so I got to thinking (be scared verry scared) it needs more air so I picked up one of the older air scoops that mount down on the rad suppt. bolted it on and mocked up the hose to accept the 2 plastic scoops into the airbox, the result was a 50% improvement in airflow.

After( note the black space tween the red stripe and the yellow gauge sleeve.

the mockup is a little rough yet so I got some suplies from a few members to make a complete system, once the fab work is done I will post pics to show the mods done, "custom wye (y) union, mod to the over the batt. pipe, and the resulting airflow on the filter minder.
as soon as my dino puter gets done loading pics... you get em.

This is all I have for now for pics, I have parts shipping.
Still need one long 4"hose for the early rad support plastic scoop to airbox so I can finish the complete unit.
But these pics should help give an idea of the extra flow.
Once I build the permanent unit I will add some pics.

That gauge is worthless, it has no markings. Red line could be anything between 6-40 In-H20. Thats a full 1.25psi difference which is huge when measuring air filter restriction.
Even a properly CFM matched brand new air filter will have some restriction at it's rated flow.

Scoops are going to make zero difference unless you're traveling 100+mph.

Ok.yea its also black, yellow and red!
Of course the filter has natural restriction!
What hoodscoops could offer and what this is are another story.
This is the factory setup!
I was interested in the fact that doing the 2 intake plastic scoop/air diverters did do something.
Could you please enlighten me/us on a cheap/free upgrade?!
Also what would be (in your opinnion) a correct a.f.g.?!
I would love to hear a way to get one of these ....( stops to think )

http://filterminder.com/

OEM gauges are calibrated to the specific application. You must use a gauge that has markings to measure actual restriction.

FYI, not being a small minded smartass to people that are trying to help you will get you a MUCH better response next time.
