I would by a back flush kit and some Permatex Heavy Duty Radiator Cleaner.

Do what it says on the bottle. Back flush all your coolant out and leave straight water in the system and poor that Permatex Heavy Duty Radiator Cleaner in. Fire it up and leave your heater on in the rig! Follow the directions on it. You will have to flush it 2 or 3 times after you use that stuff! Run it between each flush for 20 to 30 minutes. I did it to my ole 1979 with 6.9 it after I got everything up and running. JMO
