Ok, just finished the job.
I used Valvoline Max Life with a bottle and a half of Lubegard friction modifier.
I had it running in the driveway for a while shifting though the gears and whatnot as I was topping it up. Then I went for a drive....WOW what a difference!! Smoother, crisper shifts within 2 miles!!! And the fluid wasn't even that old.
little bit of black on the magnet and a bit in the pan...just like last time.

From now on...this will be the only fluid combo that I use!!!!!

Anything that new should be on all synthetics. Period! You would be crazy not to. If you switch it now you will keep it in it's present condition. If you switch all the lubes it will make a noticeable difference.
As far as coolant, you won't find it at the parts store, but Evans waterless coolant would be a good investment. No SCAs needed , a 375 deg boiling point, you can run unpressurized so less strain on your componants, less chance of major failure leading to damage and no water so no rust, doesnt need changing. costs a bundle, but balances out over a few years.

I run all synthetics in my drivetrain and the Evans coolant has saved me a large amount of cash in the last 5 years.

You can run either one.

Mercon V is much easier to find.

Holy **** I just priced evens coolant and its 250.00 for 4 gallons. So 5 bills for coolant? That's crazy. Must be some good sheet.
I know this post is old but wow on the price.
