Fass on a 04.5

OK I got a fuel pressure gauge on the lil womans 04.5 and it shows 8 psi at all times, couple questions, does all the new Cummins with the CP3 injection pump run around 8 psi??? and not if but when this OEM L/P gives up the goast will the 15-18 psi of a FASS be ok on the CP3

Yup, that is about normal, mine w/the fueling box can drop to 0 easily! the FASS is fine for the CP3, the additional pressure just gets returned to the tank in low demand times

Thanks Scrappy, that kinda what I figgered, just was wonderin why they went to 8 psi from 15 psi on the older models, guess they figger 8 psi is enough flow for the CP3

it is sort of I have been told that a stock 3rd gen can pull the fuel pressure to 0 under the right conditions.

Got it out on the road today without the lil woman watchin over my shoulder.....was able to get it down to 5 psi,,,,,, still OK but watchin the ****** closely.
