The IDI blocks are the same no matter the application. Pickup, Van or IH Medium Duty. They are all drilled the same (except on the "Factory Turbo Block, there are 1/4 oil passage plugs (I.E. Where the turbo oil feed is) rather than 1/8 inch). The "bolt-ons" are what changes by application. The oil cooler headers (the bundle is the same), engine mounts, exhaust manifolds, the truck and van use the same transmission adapter, the IH Medium Duty adapter is different. Fuel filter mount is on the passenger side of the pickup application, drivers side on the van and IH. Power steering pump is different between the van and truck, but the van one will fit in a pickup, but the pickup one won't fit in a van (or at least not fit and be serviceable). The front accessories are the same between the pickup and van, as long as it's the same belt configuration (V-Belt vs Serpentine). Basically, if it bolted to the outside of the block, it could be removed and bolted directly back on any other IDI block.... you could even take an engine out of an IH Medium Duty application, pull all the bolts on's off., and move everything from a pickup or van engine and bolt it back on.
So a C-6/T-19/E4OD/ZF-5 will bolt up to any Ford Pickup/Van Transmission adapter.......
One other difference is the IP in a Pickup/van application has a higher governor speed than an IH or U-Haul IP. The Pickup/van is ~36-3800 RPM and the IH/U-Haul is ~26-2800 RPM)
