EGT non turbo vs EGT with turbo

I'm thinking about putting on a turbo. My EGT non turbo get high when hauling I'm wondering will turbo lower them?

No load weight 7000esh pounds at 2000 rpms on flat ground 500 degrees is what I'm pushing.

When hauling about 8000 pounds to 11000 pounds it's around 750 degrees at 2000 rpms.

All together 15000 to 18000 pounds going down the road.
Have not touch the injection pump

Big question? Where is the probe? If it's in the exhaust manifold, like recommended on here... at 750 max, you are a few hundred degrees below max..... 1100 - 1200 in the manifold is max.... so you have some room.....

To answer you EGT question, Yes, a Turbo will lower you EGT's from where they are now. A Turbo adds more air, allowing you available fuel to burn better. This is one reason, in the install instructions of some of the turbo kits, they instruct you to turn up the pump a specified amount.

Yes a turbo will lower the temps but most here turn up the fuel so it becomes a trade off.

Thanks I have a turbo haven't put it on just wonder about EGT, but I have an automatic hate the way it shifts so I picked up a stick from a 460 little mod on the tranny shout drop right in.

The 750 on flat ground not climbing a hill when I start climbing a hill it jumps up in a hurry
