Doing VC Gaskets What to check while in there?

Going to do the valve cover gaskets today. What else should I check for while I have them off? Just want to make sure everything is alright or try and catch it if it's not.

Check all the valve springs close and check all the rockers for play if there is any and if there is any abnormal build up . Make sure You put them back the right way and don't bend the covers so it won't leak latter.

see if you can wiggle the valves around. yes=bad
