Does the wear and tear on the IP and injectors retard or advance the timing of the IP

I am wondering if as the injectors and ip wear does the timing become advanced or retarded?

Well
Eta
I'm pretty sure we keep advancing the timing as wear ages these.
Mine had 37k on it when I bought it in 2012 ish.
According to Russ (r.i.p.) the thing was dead from age before it had 50k on it.
Mileage kept going down from a best of 14 to 9 .
So if you're just an occasional user, there's guys still running owm pumps.
Someone is going to chime in that has better experience

Hit the hall of shame and look @THE idi stickies.

Retards the ip.

But the pop pressure gets lower essentially advancing the timing.
So

100-125k is the commonly used milage for the bd2

Thanks for the info. My truck has 180k miles on it so I know it is due a rebuilt IP and new injectors. I guess I need to start saving my pennies.
