Hello everyone... I'm in the process of putting a isuzu 4bd2t into my 85s10 blazer frame. I can either use a adapter from isuzu to chevy transmission or the isuzu to the Cummins b series transmission. The cummins adapter is cheaper than the Chevy adapter. So what I'm looking for is info on non computer controlled automatic transmissions. I may do manual but with the trucks air suspension the wheels may hit the reservoir. Thanks

Does a non-computer controlled automatic exist that has a lockup converter and an overdrive gear?

Personally, I'd strongly advocate for going manual. It'll probably be cheaper than building the automatic to handle the engine, and it'll give you fewer problems further down the road.

If it were me, I would either go with a 4l80e and stand alone controller or manual.
