whats up guys. not sure where to put this. Im looking at a used DNE2 overdrive unit. it is electric shift. I have always wanted to split gears in my f250 and have a better towing gear. Always seems i could use right between gears. (cummins 12v with nv5600 trans conversion).
This unit came off a 96 f350 with a zf5 4x4. It should be a 31 spline. My nv5600 is a 29 spline 4x4. I was always told my setup would kill a GearVendor unit. Im told these DNE2 units are very strong. Does anyone know if they make the 29 spline shafts for these?? I found the part numbers in the manual. Are these reliable and worth the trouble?
