I have a 93 NA with E4OD reg cab 250, getting near 20 mpg highway. I suspect it has a 353 ratio rear. Thinking of getting 94 crew cab dually turbo with E4OD. Do not know what ratio rear. Will there be a big difference in MPG between the two?

You’re going from the lightest most fuel efficient setup to the heaviest highest power idi. I’d expect 15-16 highway with the cc dually.

@stevebates that dually probably has a 4.10 rear end and atleast 1500 lbs on your truck if it’s only 2wd, also registration will be more, you should consider application to which best suits your needs then average mpg,

ie; towing, heavy hauling, trailer, camper, or are you mostly empty.

Don’t expect more than 15 empty

20 mpg for a E40D is the best your gonna get empty

That's what I expected. I was hoping someone would reply it's going to do better. It's tough going through life with champagne tastes on a beer income.

It the CC dually listed in the OB's want ads. low miles, new (almost) hypermax, intercooler, BTS E4OD and splitter. Set-up like I wish my reg cab was.

He's pretty close. I got about 17mpg on a very long trip with mine. No turbo, 4.10 gears, dually crew cab, 2wd and MANUAL transmission.

You might be able to squeak a smidge more if the fuel system is new but I'd say 15-16 highway is pretty close if you don't lean into it too hard.
