So I'm changing oil today and checking all my fluids and greasing stuff up after a long winter. I wire brushed off all the gunk from my Dana 50 plug checked the fluid, cleaned the threads and put it back in and noticed it doesn't screw in all the way. I'm pretty sure this is just as far as it goes in. But it go me wondering, I do see the last couple top threads are stained dirty so maybe this is normal. Can anyone verify this is normal?

Pipe threads are tapered, so they can only be tightened up so far. Thats how it seals. If they weren't tapered the plug wouldnt stop - and drop right through the cover.
Thanks, figured my brain just wouldn't let it go lol
