Ok so I asked this a while back and couldn't get a direct answer and I'd like one cuz I need to know how to go about this project before I start it
I have a d60 up front with 4" springs giving me 6" of lift up front
Or a d60 w/ 6" springs (which ever gives me 6" of lift total) and I have 6" blocks in the back
If I do a rsk up front (3/4") and a rsfk in the back (4")
Will I need to use a cross over steering system!?
I need to know before I tear this thing apart and waste time and money

First do you have a ball joint or a King pin 60?

In all likely hood yes a decent cross over setup for what you are describing would be beneficial.

Again limits of said system solely depend on what dif you have...

Finally!!!!!!
I've figured out it's a ball joint.
So will I be ok with out the cross over steering kit and a hydro assist?
I have to put a hydro assist no matter what bc of the tire weight

If you have a BJ front axle there isn't a Cross over option that's really only available if you have a King pin and then you can do a proper cross over.

All you can do is dropped pitman arm.

Guess, then a dropped pitman arm, and ported box for hydro assist steering is about all you can do.

sorry I just do not know of a any way to do cross over with a ball joint front end.

I've already got a drop pitman
And I saw the cross over for a Bj 60
My question is
Can I get away with just my drop pitman and hydro assist for now? Atleast till I can afford the cross over kit?
Ima try and see if I can find any specs onnit and I'll build it and machine out my knuckle my self. I fab/fit for a living and I've worked in quite a few machine shops
Along with having my personal lathe and having a Cnc table at work

Only you can decide what is acceptable to you. IMHO for the lift level you are talking about and if this is a road going vehicle not just strictly OFF road....

I'd suggest NO it's not safe and probably wouldn't work well.

Ok
Like I said
I might be able to swing it
Ima have to see after I get my cummins bolted in and I buy the tires to see what I got to work with
My tires I'm getting alot cheaper so I might be able to do it

I'm looking at doing a fummins, cross over, hydro assist and putting 46's
All at the same time

Do you understand what the big deal is with all this steering linkage mods? The idea is to keep the linkage from the steering box(which is bolted to the frame and doesn't move) as flat or parallel to the ground as possible. The other end is connected to the steering linkage on the axle(which does move up and down with bumps in the road). When this linkage from the steering box to the axle moves up and down, it doesn't move straight up and down it moves in a arc, since the steering box end doesn't move. As far as the axle is concerned, when the linkage moves up and down it gets shorter or longer. So when you go over a bump, even though you hold the steering wheel straight, the wheels are going to turn. Keeping the linkage as level as possible makes this less noticeable. The more of a angle it has, the more noticeable it is. It's called bumpsteer. You can try it, and if it's too much to handle, you will have to do something to get rid of it.

That's what the dropped pitman arm is doing, trying to get the steering box end of the linkage down to a more level position.
