Crank how long before batteries die

The starter may be drawing too much amperage. Sadly, new does not necessarly equal good these days. I would have the starter load checked. Good luck starting tomorrow morning - forecast is for 22 below here and I am in the southern part of WI.

Had both batteries tested at a shop I trust and they passed.

Obviously not too trustworthy if they don't even know to disconnect the batteries before they tested them. You still haven't said if they just voltage tested them, or actually load tested them.

You might as well take your starter off and have it tested just to rule it out.

-10 real temp or with wind chill? Doesn't sound that out of whack to me. I know that when I hit 10 degrees and below I plug in whenever I can. I can typically fire off up to 0 degrees sometimes less, but the starts are ugly and can take 2 times on the plugs.

If your batteries tested fine I'd check cable ends. Grounds and Positives. And as already said check the starter even though it's new. These starting systems are tough on the electrical system.
