coolant leak

i have a 2001 f250 sd 7.3l man 6spd 4x4. It seems to be leaking from the lower radiator hose elbow that comes off of the engine it looks to be coming from the flange that bolts the two elbows together . my question is if there is a gasket on this flange or if the bolts could just need tightening, any help would be greatly appreciated.

are you talking about where the lower rad hose connects to the water pump----or where the front cover connects to the oil cooler?

I'm not sure if that is a gasket or "O" ring ........when I replaced mine, the neck was allready assembled

I mjust replaced my water pump, there is a an "O" ring. By the way my truck is a 2001 auto.

There is an O ring between the two parts. It's a common leak.

is this something that i should be woried about? it is not leaking very much but im not one to let things like this go i guess what im asking is if this can lead to other problems down the road.
