Just go to a napa and get in there parts and accessories book and they have heim joints in several sizes, about8 bucks or so, I cut my loop off and threaded the rod 3/8ths fine and it works awesome

Heim (brand) joints are aircraft bearings, which are also used in some other applications. They are not a truly automotive part. Their technical name is a "spherical rod end bearing".

Any bearing supplier will know what you are looking for and be able to source them. Popular manufacturers are Heim and Torrington.

I spent 3 years managing a bearing warehouse.
