So these have a common tendency to wear out the bushing that goes on the pedal where the clutch master cylinder rod connects.
Once the bushing is gone the eye wears out, along with the pin on the pedal. You could replace both, but why stay with such a failure prone design.

Start by disconnecting the rod, then remove it. Mine was missing the spring clip inside so it pulled right out. Otherwise you need something like a fuel line disconnect tool, but it needs to be fairly deep.
Next make a locator mark on the clutch pedal arm and the mount beside it so you can get it back in the right place later.

Remove the nut then using screwdrivers, chisel, hammer, get the arm off.
Next grind the back of the pin off.

Then drive it out.
Now we need to cut the clutch rod down. I laid the heim joint next to it to see where to cut.

Now assemble the heim joint onto the clutch arm.

Have the set screw facing down so you can get to it later.
Now it's time to bolt the arm back in.

Don't forget to line up the marks we made earlier.

I removed the washer from between the heim joint and clutch arm because it threw the alignment off. I thought it would need it, but it doesn't.
I also left the clutch switch off, as I have it bypassed anyways.
I bought the kit on ebay.

looks cool, now for a grease fitting(ed) heim joint so you can make it last forever!
what did the pedal feel like compare to the stock setup?

Haha it'll outlast the truck, and she's still a baby. (220k)
Feels a lot better. I can't say what a good stock setup feels like. I could never fit the bushing in.
Definitely tighter, no play. Smooth.

:D i'm driving a 2003 7.3 powerstroke that is outlasting the truck/van that's build around it, just changed its oil at 495,865 km . last change was just over 11,000km ago and I added 1 litre of oil in that interval. I'm going to retire it at 500,000 or august(5years ownership), whichever comes first.............unless the MTO/police pull it into a safety lane.:rotflmao

parts that outlast our vehicles are just over engineering, which is better than engineers can design;Sweet

back on topic:dunno................how much did the kit cost you?

pretty much the same set up i did on the IDI,
one thing id like to point out is that....
I DO NOT TRUST SET SCREWS!
i used a 3/8" fine threaded heim, with a jamb nut.
and welded a bolt to the clutch rod.

3/8" tubing, with a cut down the length with a grinder and a flare on it is what i used to get the clutch rod out of the master.
the flare is so you can grip it better.

the OBS pedals are much more user friendly, the brick nose, i had to pull the whole pedal assembly out.

this is one of the best mods you can do, simple, easy, and cheap.

DO IT NOW BEFORE IT SNAPS ON YOU LIKE MINE DID.

it almost cost 2 kids their life.......
i almost slammed into a prius.

The set screw isn't really doing anything. I cut it long enough that it's shoved all the way in. Lol

I don't trust 'em either, but I was tired of the worthless replacement 2-piece rods breaking, so I made a full new one out of b7 ready-rod with a ground down end and used a threaded heim, fits snug and solid but doesn't actually clip into the master ;Sweet
