How often do you or are you suppose to change the tranny and rear diff. fluids? Any good fluids to put back in? I was thinking Lucas. Thats what I have been using in the motor and fuel. I want good stuff, dont wanna half-***. Not worth it to me. My truck is a 03 4x4 dually. Is there anything else I should be checking or changing, other than the basics? This is my first diesel and my first 4x4. So any pointers are a great help.

change the fluid evry 50k.......go with a good synthetic and if ya tow with the truck get a good aftermkt diff cover as it will add 1 qt capacity to ya.

I run a temp gauge and when I went synthetic the temps dropped from 170-180 down to 145-150.......................towing my backhoe over a mountain pass I still cant get it over 150

I went with Mobil One 75/140 for the rear and 75/90 for the front and Castrol Synthetic ATF+4 for the tranny and transfer case, not sure what tranny you have, so I can't really say. Scotty
