I seem to recall Travis (argve) running something similar on the original Enterprise a while back...he was pretty happy with the setup. I've put some thought into giving a set a try, but haven't had the $$ yet...maybe the next time I get tires?

I'm curious to hear how they work on your truck after they're installed...

Ran the Centramatics on my steer tires on my 35 ft. GM Bus with 24.5 Firestone tires, made a world of difference in a smooth ride, only had around 50K miles on them before selling it, they still looked like new. Many of RV owner swear by them for tire wear and smooth ride. You'll not be disappointed, well worth the money. Rear tires really don't need them, waste of money.

I see them on the big trucks all the time and the owner-operators swear by them.

In fact, I seldom see a privately owned big truck that does not have them.


I had been wanting to try them on my F-350 for the last 20-plus years, but never having extra money always kept me from actually getting them.

Then, a bunch of the guys on a Cummins forum that I frequent started getting them a couple years ago and they all claim they are money well spent.

So, I just shut my eyes, didn't even look in my bill-fold, called and got them on the way.

I have found that that is the only way to ever get something where money just never seems to ever be available.

Of course, that same line of thinking has put many a man to living on the poor farm.

i been thinking of getting them since i cant balance my outer duals on the back and the front needs stick on weights that keep falling off. let me know how they do.

I have no experience with either but I've heard of Dyna Beads. The principle seems the same however Dyna Beads go inside the tire making them much much cheaper.

stick on weights...clean the rim thouroughly..then,wherever a weight goes on,,put some tire patch glue in that spot,let dry,,then attach your wheel weight..never had one come off,,when i worked at dads gas station..

i have not used them myself but knew a couple of jeep guys with big tires that used them. they liked them and could run tires that normal shops couldent balance. they also ran the dyna beads or calculated out the amount of beads needed and just bought some bb's at walmart to run.

they said they worked well but you could hear the balls tinkling in the tires when you slowed down to a stop.

I have been using dyan beads for a couple years on my bike. Now that I am swapping over to the 33s on the truck adn just orderd 4 new tires for the wifes car I think I will just run them in everything I own. Tired of paying stealerships for shoddy work. I will just do it myself.

The mention of using internal balance-beads got me to thinking, so I just called the technical expert at CENTRAMATICs and asked.

She said that ANY loose internal product MUST BE REMOVED from the tires when using Centramatics, as the two systems will fight against each other.

She also said that external clip-on wheel-weights are fine and will not interfere in the operation of the Centramatics; and, on really hard-to-balance tires, it is recommended to balance as best you can with the clip-on weights and then let the Centramatics take care of the fine-tuning.

I have equal in my other truck and love it. The biggest thing with internal balancing methods is the air needs to be dry when filling it. Even with beads the water will interfere with balancing

I use my compressor with a filter dryer installed adn I have never had a problem, My tire wear is more even adn I can get a few thousand more miles on my bike with the beads than standard wheel weight balancing. Uneven tread wear i usually had in the front is now a thing of the past.
