BTW- the $199.00 price is for steers "and" rears

If you have a SRW truck, you get all four of same part-number for one price.

If you have a DRW truck, you must buy separate part-numbers, one pair STEER and one pair DRIVE.

It costs almost twice as much for a DRW as for a SRW.

they are on my travelette and it still has a pretty strong vibration at 70... :dunno my scout has 37" iroks with NO weights and it'll run 70 smooth as glass all day long. i usually don't balance my tires and have had no major troubles. when i convert to 4x4 and swap rims and tires i will take them off.

Before you convert anything, remove the balancers and see if you still have the vibration.

Your vibration may not be a tire; it could be something in the drive-train.

Or you could have a separation in a tire.

Very interesting product. My 37's are a bear at times to balance and the steering tires wear much faster than the drive tires. I would love to see how they work for you and if they are as good as they say, I'm going to get a set.

Thanks Damon,

Heath

Yep ran them on the Enterprise and they were worth it. I will recomend having the tires balance when installed then after that dont worry about balance until new tires are installed. The thing about centramatics is they balance the entire rotating assembly not just the tire rim combo. Took thee bounce from my front end out that tire balance could not. I figured out on the E that the rotor or something was messed up because it didnt matter who or how many times I had the tires balance I could not get the hop out at highway speed. After centramatics it was smooth rolling

i run the airsoft heavy BB's in my bronco with 38" boggers. it can go 55-60 before it starts to get bouncy. the tires or bias with constant lug damage so no standard balancing would work. the wheels aren't the roundest.

you can hear the bb's rolling around when you stop. but it's not bothersome at all. just a kinda woosh noise. i used 2 ounces more than recommended for my tire size. i think more might have helped since my tires are soo bad. i pay no attention to filling tires with dry air. i haven't seen much difference in performance despite many air down and fill up cycles.

I've been doing the semi mechanic thing for a long time now. all the drivers that have these love them, a lot have them on the rears as well. they definitely work cause there trucks tires last longer. the cupping issue that a lot of semis have don't happen when the centramatics are installed

my issue is i can not ballance my rear outers due to the rim design. they can not get them to mount up on a standard spin balancer. so right now i have no balance on outers, fully balanced inners(steel wheel) and sorta balanced steers. i get a hop/wobble around 70, but a slight vibration all the way up. but i do know my carrier bearing is shot. thats to be changed when the clutch comes in.

Whoever can't balance those wheels just doesn't want to cough up the $1600 for a proper DRW adapter for the balancer. :)

How about a pic of the rim?

I've always been able to get a dually tire on the balancer :sly

Most spin-balancers and most DRW wheels are just not compatible without the DRW adapter/spacer.

There are locater pins on the wheels that must be compensated for, the cone goes into the big center-hole so far that it bottoms out without the spacer, and the tire is against the machine without the spacer.

With all that said, in my own personal opinion, it is a complete waste of time, machinery, and lead to attempt to balance a DRW tire/wheel on some silly computer-spin-balancer.

Either use a proper static-vibratory truck-tire balancer or better yet an accurate bubble-balancer.

the spokes will not allow the rim to sit against the base without eityher throwing it off or scratching the rim.
