I usually buy parts at O'Reilly nowadays because the quality at Autozone is worse and they hire people who couldn't find their rear end with both hands and a hunting dog! But the "spend $20 five times, get a $20 credit" still makes it worth buying fluids, at least.

Anyhow, O'R got me once on a "lifetime" water pump the same way... replaced it, but said this one only has a one-year warranty

I like Napa, their quality seems to beat that of AutoZone and Oreallys.

Nearest Advance Auto is 1 hr 15 mins from me, I will go there when I am up that way, mostly because the Napa in Manhattan is very very difficult to get to, their entrance is a back alley. If you have a teailer longer than say 28’ you will have to park elsewhere and walk. Fricken stupid. Their hours aren’t any worse than other napas, but Advance is open much later. Any bigger stuff like fuel pumps, starters, alternators, u joints, bearings and the like I get at Napa. Ford brake parts as well, but my Dodge has modified brakes, carbon fiber, stops great but must keep parts in stock for myself…

I get my starters and alternators rebuilt. Them places give a lifetime warranty cause you're gonna need it
