I’m thinking of buying some filter heads and putting them on the pressure side of my electric lift pump for added filtration. What does everyone think of this idea? If I do it I will post about install with pics
This is the "best" way to have the filters.I like to run a coarser element water separator on the suction side and a finer secondary filter on the pressure side.
It's not just the added filtration. The coarse filter before the electric pump is to keep bigger stuff from getting into the pump and of course the water separator like u2slow said. Then you want the finer one between the pump and the engine just in case something starts going bad inside your lift pump.Do we need added filtration with the advent of common rail diesel?
