Older axles did that so the hubs were always turning in the way that 'tightens them down' so the forward mocement didn't loosen the right hand thread ones.

Eventually they figured out it was stupid and went to hub piloted rims and integrated washer swivel nuts across the board.

So, here's my new issue...... its not really new, ive just been focused on everything mechanical until now, she runs, goes, and stops.... now its house electrical diagnostics.....

Here's where im at: with good shore power, hot good batteries....... thr only stuff that works in the coach are the recepticles and lights..... no roof ACs, no fridge(not even with LP gas, which it should default too)..... BUT if I crank the coach up, everything works..... roof ACs(both at the same time), fridge(AC or LP gas)...... its about to drive me crazy.

The transfer switch is switching good, the serge protector is legit..... ive got 120 on everything at the main panel in the coach.... a couple days ago everything was working correctly for a couple hours in the morning...as far as I can remember, that has been the only time it has allowed the roof ACs and fridge to operate without the coach running.... then it just quit.

Any ideas? @Nero @Clb I've crawled all over it....... i originally had the 50amp plug reduced to a wall recepticle, i have it done correctly as of this morning with a 50 amp recepticle with 2 legs of 120....like it calls for.....

Really sounds like the Converter for shore/12v is sticking....
My .02

So like this, engine is running, converter sees 12v that excite's a coil that opens the power to the fridge, if you don't have 12v to the propane side it will not run on pane.
Vica versa
Ac is 110 v only (as I recall) so if the converter has a sticky relay it may only switch 110v on when the 12v coil pulls against it.

Although, the wall recpticals working with no ac/fridge is squirrely.
So check the cabinet of the ac directly on the compressor area for any 12v with the engine on.
I don't see any reason for 12,v unless it's a dual motor setup 1 compressor, 1 fan,....
That should be enough to drive you to ( something).

Alright...... so, I texted a friend that lives in Oregon, lol...... and Clb, you're kinda on the right track..... until I introduce the mystery character in the last 2 minutes of the episode and screw up all potential logical solutions.....

So Nero says to look at the DC fuse panel(why? My problems AC..... but its along way to the top if you wanna rock n roll, right?).....

So, theres actually no power there.....plenty of juice next door at the AC....just no DC( shes got the JACK!!!)
If I turn the key on, no dice.....if i crank it up? I get alternator power....14.5 at the red wires.....(ballbreaker.....)

I tediously trace those wires down the back of the coach to a junctionbox where they become one big red wire, around the engine past the tranny and battery compartment to this area.......(and it may has well have shook me all night long.... its really hot and humid today)

This is the "battery isolation" area.....yeah, I don't know either.....(but sometimes you just Ride On.....)anyway, long story short, that blue thing on the side was wired wrong.....ahhh previous owners.....gotta love em.....i mean....it LOOKS right...... but it isnt....

So, there you have it..... another dirty deed done dirt cheap......and just so you know im really a rock star..... here's my Marshall stack and 6 of my guitars crammed in the back of my motorhome....

And I painted the rims and hubs, so it would go faster......that wet around the tire isnt me or the dogs..... its condensation dripping off the roof because my wonderful AC has been running for an hour......thank you, Nero!!!!

That is an alarming amount of tape on the side brother, is the siding splitting?

Hope you make some headway on your 12v system. The fridge requires 12v to run by the way

The siding in the passenger side is rough, lots of aluminum rot...... that will all get addressed at a later date..... remember, I got this CHEAP!!!!! Lol

The fridge is 120V AC if available.... but will run LP if the AC isnt available. Of course it uses 12v when it switches to LP for the pilot light.....

The control board runs off 12v, the compressor can run off ACV, but still needs the 12v board to run, hope this helps.

Yeah, everything works as it should now. The fridge and ACs are all legit......

Tomorrow Im going to study the generator system and make sure thats all legit now that the shore power is correct...... and yes, I know to unplug shore power before I fire up the generator......

Yeah, and its not just "dual voltage" theres multiple sources of those voltages..... that YOU have to be mindful of.... there's a generator, alternator, inverter, house batteries, chassis batteries, and shore power.... mines 50amp.....some are 30amp.....oh yeah.....dont forget the LP gas system. ive almost wrapped my head around all of it. I think testing the generator tomorrow will be the last nail in the coffin of mechanical and electrical stuff.... then i can possibly did*dle(lol, thats an odd word to omit) with a few interior cosmetic things...... all the information and encouragement has been huge..... life has been wonky the last few months, its nice that this project has gone well.
