Burned out glow plug

Here is an Autolite glow plug after only 3 starts cycling them for about 12 to 15 seconds. Retrieved from the cylinder.

That was with the Motorcraft/BERU plugs. They were burned out but came right out. My son then replaced them with autolites without calling me and this is what happened.

The Motorcraft plugs help up incredibly well for what they went through!

My question too. Great pic of what an autolite really is. You are sure lucky that came out and hopefully your head did not come of the remove the pieces.

Cycling meaning a manual cycle or through a controller?

Head is off now. I have never ran anything but Motorcraft/Beru glow plugs, my son puts autolites in and three starts later the head is off. It was in the number one cylinder.

Manual with a pull out switch. I bought it like that and never got around to putting a momentary push button switch or putting it back to stock. I put a momentary switch in it first thing after I got it back home.
