Will do! I only buy Bilsteins, nothing else comes close, I stuck them in my VW Vanagon and it became a totally new vehicle

Are you talking about the Imola Ave bridge? If so, I actually knew the guy who was killed back in '03 when they were building it...

My Bilsteins are great for everyday driving. Stiff is good!

What are a good set of shocks for those of us who are tired of getting jarred in our 1 ton trucks?

I'm actually more concerned about the truck than my behind. The bumps around here are enough to make the truck skittish, and bounce it around. Not good for tires, I'm sure.

I'll send reports when I get them in, I'm not much of a Cadillac ride kinda guy, my BMW with sport suspension is just nice

For my money, whichever heavy duty Gabriel or Monroe TRUCK shock is on special at my local W/D. they seem to switch out brands every few years or so. Irregardless, changing out a pair of fronts for $30 each is OK with me. The F450 has a buckboard ride to begin with, so any stiff valved shock is not my idea of making things better. I really like the cushy ride of my '92, so either shock is not going to make things worse. I guess I am getting to the age where getting beat to death by my suspension is not a whole lot of fun anymore, besides ten years of piloting the carrier has permanently floated my kidneys.

A lot of the 'cushy' type guys tell me to stick with a hydraulic shock. They say the gas shocks are just to dang tight.

I was considering the Edelbrock IAS shocks. I too prefer a stiffer suspension, and run adjustable Tokicos in my Supra. I've heard great things about the Edelbrocks from my buddies, and they're only about $60 each thru the local parts house. I priced some Ford stock replacements, but at nearly $100 each at my cost, they're a little high.

Let us know how the Bilsteins work out and how much they cost. They are on my list of possibilities...
