I think I might be needing a set of injectors for my idi soon. So who's the best place to get them without spending 400-600$

At 400$ after I send my original in they are the most expensive I have seen. I don't doubt there quality but there just a bit to expensive. I found a place called accuratediesel and it's only 280 after I send the originals in but I don't know how good of quality they are

There really isn't one. You can buy cheap injectors, and it'll run, but they're cheap for a reason.

I know at least Russ will pressure match them as a set, so they all fire at the correct time. If they're not matched as a set the timing will be off slightly as some of them will fire earlier or later depending on where in the "acceptable range" they are set.

I've heard of brand new injectors that leak directly out of the box.

You certainty can cheap out on them if you want, but I'd go with known good instead of gambling over $100 difference.

I installed a set of new injectors from Russ. And they are great!

And a drop in turbo and a 80cc pump from Justin.
Woke the old truck up. Well worth the money.

Lol. If you want rebuilds through accurate diesel I have a few sets laying around. I also have 5 idi trucks that i will never put them in again. Had 5 sets but have turned 2 of them in 3 months after I bought them as cores. Coulda found a better set outta my scrap pile. R&d, Russ repair, Classic diesel designs, and Conistoga diesel are where you should consider. I prefer Classic diesel designs and have never been let down, impressed if anything, but members here have been very satisfied with the other 3 as well and i wouldnt blink an eye at using one of their products either. The group consensus for injectors is Mel, Wes, Justin, and Russ. They're all members on this forum, and all sell superior products. Each of us has a favorite among those four.
I have a high opinion of all four. They're specialists, and they sell to customers who care about quality. You'll get what you pay for.

None of us want to pay high prices for injectors, but it beats the heck out of paying half price for injectors and then turning around quickly and paying the higher price for them a second time because the first set were junk. The ONLY good thing that I can see about that is now you have a set of core injectors.

I got a set of pop-matched injectors from @typ4 over 5 years ago and about 2 years ago I pop-tested them and they were all still within 50psi of each other. Pretty sweet!
Plus he rebult my IP and it self-purges SO FAST since it actually works like it should...(not that I ever run out of fuel coming up the steep hill by my house ) and it fires right up every time in the morning too!

The bitterness of poor Quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten. I always keep this in the back of my mind when thinking of what will be the best way to go. Then pull the trigger and stand by your decision be it good or bad.

If you are going rebuilt, I'd go with the people already mentioned, I've bought a fair amount of stuff from r&d idi performance and classic diesel design and been extremely satisfied and plan to do some business with type4/russrepair as well in the future. As far as new injectors go, before I knew of any of the folks already mentioned I would buy new stanadyne brand which is one of the OEM suppliers. These are obviously not pressure matched but I seriously doubt they were when these engines were new either. Another thing to note is that the Delphi brand injectors from rockauto are reboxed stanadynes or at least they have been the 3 times I've bought them. I'm not saying that you definitely should buy these but if you are low on cash these are the ONLY ones I would buy that didn't come from previously mentioned sources.

I’ve used Russ, Justin, and Wes all have been good product. If you are looking to order right now and care about timing I would go with Russ. I just ordered a turbo injector return kit and it was good communication and prompt shipping. You’re a couple days away from the winter cutoff with Wes. Anything purchased after the 5th doesn’t ship till January.
