That's only 1/2 a truck, only SuperCab and 3/4 ton. Ya can't even carry a slide-in camper safely on that thing. BTDTGTTS, real frustrating when ya buy a truck to take family on vacation, then find out it won't hold the new camper ya just bought. OkieGringo P.S. It is purdy though:D

1/2 ton? Are we looking at the same page?
That's what I was thinking too.
There's no reason that truck won't carry a camper.
From the pics, it's a nice looking truck.
Some days I wish I had an extended cab,
but Lynda would want to fill it with more kids. :puke: :puke: :puke:

No, I said 1/2 of a truck, no Crew Cab and only 3/4 ton. Check the payload capacity of a 3/4 ton and the weight of even a "lite" slide-in and you'll see what I mean. Have a accident being overweight and someone will own YOU. OG

Umm, my 85 f250 has a GVW of 8600 the truck weighs around 5500, so 3000 lbs of slide in?

I dunno, but do they weigh that much?

You betcha, even a ultra lite weighs more than that. Unless of course your "management" likes a icebox and a portapotty. Mine sure don't. OG

I ran a cab over camper on my 84 F250 for years and another on a gasser F250 before that. I did have overload springs on both trucks. These were old heavy campers and it handled the load fine.

I have a cab over that lives on my F350 now, but I think a F250 is fine with most cab over campers.

see youall later

Ok my truck f-250 ext. cab 4x4 GVWR 8800lbs truck weighs 6600 lbs well it did before I added tool box stack aux veg tank but all that wouldn't be there if I was ussing a slide in so 8800-6600=2200 my buddys truck F-350 CC 4x4 weighs 7500 GVWR 9900 so 9900-7500=2400lbs I don't think 200lbs is going to save ya besides usually the truck that can haul the most weight legally is a half ton gasser as it is the lightest truck so it gives you more room between the max GVWR
