Also, did you have the upper wheel arch only or the full wheel well ones?

I did the upper only. Mine had rusted thru about 4 inches from the edge along the entire top of the wheel well but the bottom still had good steel so I cut out about a six inch swath and then cut the new tin to be about two inches bigger than the part I cut out. I tucked the new tin in behind the old, riveted it in place and then welded it (using weld-thru primer on the new metal). The formed portion of the new tin matched the remaining old tin pretty well.
